Title: Rookie Riders??
Post by: Mr442 on April 09, 2010, 08:44:03 AM
Last weekend, three motorcycle riders crashed into each other, shortly after leaving the local tavern.  The lifeline chopper took one of the riders to Methodist Hospital in Indy.  Today, when I mention the incident to a co-worker who also rides, I got a response that I didn't really expect, although I am not surprised.  He referred to them as rookie riders.  In his mind, sitting around and drinking had no effect on their riding abilities.  As we discussed it further, I realized it was futile to say much more, so I left it with the fact that folks need to know their limits, when it comes to alcohol.  I suppose that someday they will be picking him up off the road as well.

Unfortunately you may be right.  Drinking and 4 wheels don't mix well so I don't know why some people think they can mix drinking and 2 wheels.  At least in a car there's some sort of protection if you have a wreck but on a bike there's none.
