Title: Groundpig and His Shadow
Post by: Palehorse on February 01, 2010, 05:20:10 PM
Well, tomorrow is the day when that blasted groundhog comes out. Will he see his shadow or not? Any guesses?

50-50

Depends on when they pull the pig from the house.

Partly cloudy so yeah. They'll wait until the sun pops out since it is an El Nino period.

Will he have Jesus with him? And then will they look for eggs? Oh wait, that happens later, doesn't it.

PETA people want to set him free. Probably wouldn't last a month on his own. Guess they don't care about that.

If I were him, I'd be pissed if they let me go.  He lives in a decked out area of the public library in Punxy.     I've seen it!

Me, too.

That pig sure lives a life of luxury.

Hmmm.........that applies to quite a few human being pigs, too.

Maybe he wouldn't survive, but doesn't he deserve freedom if that's what he wants? Open the door...maybe he'll stay.

After living in San Diego this event has lost it's excitement for me ;D

Sandy, did you ever read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues? It contains one of my favorite true thoughts. Sissy Hankshaw has released a couple of caged birds. The owner is very upset, telling her the birds were happy. Sissy says, "Being free is the only thing more important than being happy."

Yeah. I get that.

I haven't, but I'm going to add it to my library list right now.

and I get it too

BTW, have you seen my "what are you reading" thread? You seem extremely well read. I enjoy reading so much that I get overwhelmed in a library lol so may choices. Anyway, a lot of times I use that thread for ideas.
