Briefly, it says "hiking salaries and bonuses by 30% in 2009 to $14.43 billion, or 62% of total revenues at the bank -- the highest level in a decade." Back when I worked in banking (before I remembered I was a revolutionary) the unbreakable rule was that raises and bonuses were tied to the year's revenue increase. Morgan Stanley reported only a 15% gain. So they get raises AS WELL AS BONUSES that are double that.
Bankers are leeches. They produce nothing. They offer nothing. They do absolutely nothing to earn their compensation. I was going to say they are vampires, but recently vampires have become romantic. So instead, I just say, let's stake 'em, and cut off their heads!
