It was a tad cool this morning, but I rode the Goldwing in anyway. Thermal undies under jeans, then rain pants over that. On top was a thin T shirt, nice warm sweater, pullover sweatshirt, zippered hooded sweatshirt, and a Carhart winter jacket. On my head I had my balaclava under my full face helmet. And last I had my cold weather M/C gloves.
With all the above on, then sitting behind the fairing and windshield, and tuning on the heated grips and seat, made the ride comfortable. In spite of the temp being in the very low 20's
To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I half expected to turn around, and go back and get the truck, but that did not happen. The rain pants were a little stiff, and my feet were a little cool, but oitherwise all was well. I don't plan on riding in these, or colder, temps on a regular basis, but it is good to know I can do it without literaly freezing to death.
I'm thinking that with some lightweight heated under garments, I could ride when it is much cooler yet, and do it without the multiple layers. Now if I could just convince the state to stop salting everything, I could really extend my riding season.
You are a true biker indeed.
Yeah, it is a bit nipply out. I mean nippy. What am I saying, nipple? ... I mean nippy out, what did I say, nipple? Huh, there is a nip in the air. ...if the stores were any less hooter than they - HOTTER than they are. Whew.. :spooked:

Henry was just trying to stay a breast of the news
Ya buncha boobs!
Just a bunch of bosom buddies!
I wear heated socks when riding in these temps. Gloves too since I don't have heated grips.
I agree, the salt just eats the chrome and paint, but at least it helps the 4 wheelers maintain a semblance of control over their vehicles. . .
