From ABC news: (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=8859286#)
"Federal drug agents won't pursue pot-smoking patients or their sanctioned suppliers in states that allow medical marijuana, under new legal guidelines to be issued Monday by the Obama administration.
Two Justice Department officials described the new policy to The Associated Press, saying prosecutors will be told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state law."
A voice of reason...
I would have thought that was just plain common sense once it was legal to use the medicinal.

As would most people but the Bush administration refused to accept the states' rights and insisted that under federal law it was still illegal and would be prosecuted.
So, are we just a hop, skip and a jump from all pot legal?

I doubt that but in some of the states where it is legal for medicinal use, my understanding is that you can get a prescription for a hangnail!
Unless Foley starts writing scripts for it!
