I figure that since this is the unofficial gear-head part of the forum, this post belonged here...
About a month a go, I ran across an older car in really good condition that I couldn't pass up and I think it might have the potential to really get me into trouble. The car is a '99 Grand Prix GT Coupe with pretty much every option under the sun (including the heads-up display which I thought I'd hate but have since become fond of), 80K miles, straight body with paint that makes me believe the car has been in a garage its whole life and an immaculate interior...very sound car at a very good price...who could pass it up?
Now the dangerous part...it's a good driving car that gets fairly good mileage and is reasonably quick with the 3800 V6 but oh my...look what I found! (http://www.3800performance.com/ct_turbo_kit_pics.htm) LMAO! Make sure and watch the videos!
You put one of those kits on and you better get a good attorney on retainer! You'll need it for the literature you'll get!

Literature hell, I'm guessing I'll be getting some free rides and stays at the
{insert county here} Hilton!
Better put several surgeons/specialists on retainer, too.
Not to mention a prepaid funeral director/formaldehyde pumper.

Nah; driving fast isn't a problem; I'm autobahn trained.
Ummm....how about all of those other homicidal maniacs out there on the roads with you? They autobahn trained? Hard to believe they are smart enough to feed themselves, let alone drive.
Good point FTW. There are a LOT of idiots who can't get out of their own way, much less anyone else. Bluehairs aside! :spooked:
Yep, lots of fun eating Camaros and Mustangs with that.
Have the transmission worked over first, or it will never hold up.

Oh, yeah...already decided if I go that route I'll need one of these (http://www.3800performance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TEP-TRANNY&Category_Code=T&Product_Count=0) too!
Better save some cash for tires. You're going to need them! :icon_twisted:
This just keeps getting more expensive! Ram-air hood or cold air intake? :icon_twisted:

Cold intake. Make it a bit of a sleeper if you can.

Oh, yeah...it wouldn't be nearly as much fun if I couldn't surprise my victims!
Owning a high performance vehicle, (or building one) is kind of like owning a watercraft; they are both black holes into which you pour your money!
There was a Fiero running around these parts, with a supercharged 3800 from a Bonneville in it. I saw it run some wild numbers at the strip  It didn't look like much, but it would fly.
