It must suck right now to be someone who still thinks Bush was a pretty smart guy and to have just listened to Obama's well reasoned, articulate, eloquent speech on health care reform. But I digress...I'm sure the message was lost on the cheap seats because, well, he used multisyllabic words and whatnot and who in the hell does that black man think he is anyway pretending to be all smarter than us whites?
Doing nothing costs more than doing something; anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of mathematics can't deny that obvious fact. If you don't fall into that category...well...it sucks being you. I'm for a plan that leaves those who are opposed to health care reform with zero options...they either stay healthy or they die...call it passive eugenics...a purge of society's mental midgets.
How many of us DO know someone who has lost health insurance due to illness or was denied coverage to begin with? My mom's boyfriend retired and had a very difficult time getting health insurance because he was treated for an excema-like rash behind his ear. Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard? He doesn't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, but dry skin was going to keep him from some BCBS!

The current reality, Kimmi, is that even if you have health insurance, your insurer is free to deny you coverage based upon some nebulous wording in their policy that is there to expressly limit their liability. Any politician working against health care reform is clearly not working in the best interest of his/her constituents and any citizen who doesn't see this obvious manipulation of our political system should have the opportunity to opt out...let them die.
And I would venture to guess anyone politician who is working against reform is also lining their pockets with $$$ from insurance companies. They like status quo because it makes them money!!
Do you think if I started speaking out against this...the insurance companies would line my pockets? I could use the extra cash.
It is worth a shot!

At least it wasn't as bad as the physical attacks other South Carolina politicians have committed on others; i.e., Tillman on McLaurin and Brooks on Sumner.
South Carolina must be SO proud. (Looky, looky. He represents ME!!!)
Miller will probably really whip him next time.
Can only hope. Real class.

ABC news (http://blogs.abcnews.com/george/2009/09/dems-hit-paydirt-on-heckle.html) is reporting that Miller received over 3,000 individual contributions totaling about $100,000.00 over night. Way to help out your opponent!

Or maybe Mark Foley and a couple of young pages were visiting his office and they accidentally "pulled the plug" (so to speak)
Well, Wilson wasn't the only assclown in the crowd as is highlighted in this article in the Washington Post. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/09/AR2009090902298.html) My question is in what world does this classless group of idiots think that it is appropriate to shout at the President Of The United States while he is giving a speech on the House floor? Why not just yell the 'n' word at him while they're at it?
Ya'll could always ask that Barney Franks keep him hostage in his basement as a love slave. Oh wait a minute he has a business to run from there I forgot....
Look who shows up to defend the assclown with the usual red herring.

Of course. And in inimitable fashion, she not only gets his name wrong, she conveniently distorted/forgot the facts of that case ....
"A 1990 investigation by the House Ethics Committee was prompted by Steve Gobie, a male hustler Frank befriended and housed, who attempted to profit on his allegations that Frank knew he was using the home to see clients. Frank confirmed that he had once paid Gobie for sex, hired him with personal funds as an aide and wrote letters on congressional stationery on his behalf to Virginia state probation officials, but Frank said he fired Gobie when he learned that prostitution clients were visiting his apartment. "Two years [after Frank fired Gobie], Gobie tried unsuccessfully to sell his story to the Washington Post. He then gave the story to the Washington Times for nothing, in hopes of getting a book contract for the male version of Mayflower Madam." After the investigation, t
he Committee found no evidence that Frank had known of or been involved in the alleged illegal activity and dismissed all of Gobie's more scandalous claims; they recommended a reprimand for Frank using his congressional office to fix 33 of Gobie's parking tickets. The House voted 408-18 to reprimand Frank.
The attempts to censure and expel Frank were led by Republican Larry Craig, whom Frank criticized for hypocrisy after Craig's own later arrest for soliciting gay sex in an airport bathroom. Frank won re-election that year with 66 percent of the vote, and has won by larger margins ever since."

Oh!!!! Look!!!! There's Larry Craig again!
And a liar is exposed yet again.
If you think someone could do something like that for a year and a half and he knew nothing about it you're a fool. I'd damn sure know if something like that was being done if someone was living in my house for a year and half even if I wasn't there all the time. If he's that blind I feel sorry for him.

I was embarrassed for them. Aside from being disrespectful, it was just plain juvenile.

I know you old people have trouble not living in the past but that was 20 years ago and we're talking about what happened last night. Should we take your constant attempts at diverting attention as a tacit approval of the behavior of some of your fellow republicans?

Have ya'll ever heard the old adage that a lie can run around the world before the truth can get its boots on? This is especially likely when the ones spreading the lie
don't reveal their sources.
