Well if there is anyone smart enough to think about reversing nature, I think Bill Gates might be a good choice. It is his money for research. Let him see what happens.

Ya know - everybody likes to bash Bill Gates when the fact is that he just gave us what we wanted. Every ill-informed computer user demanded compatibility and Microsoft gave us that across-the-board compatibility.
And the reason that hackers attack Windows is for the economy-of-scale. There is simply a better return for their efforts because of the vast majority Windows users.
To quote Pogo "We have found the enemy and he is us."

I'm not bashing Bill Gates.....I think he is an amazing person.........my simple opinion is that he should try to find a fix to the problems that occur when using his software.........and leave the hurricane business to God.

What problems are you having because my Windows systems all seem pretty stable to me. Is it possible that you have DFU issues?

Oh sure, let the invisible man in the sky handle it.

Let me rephrase a tad.....Bill Gates software works just fine.....I would like to see Mr. Gate's use his expertise to produce an anti-virus to keep his software safe...although his software has it's share of problems....I think "stable" is not what you would like to expect from a company making a trillion dollars a year....

Okay, I'll dummy it down for you.......I think Mother Nature and this Earth knows more about what it needs to do, besides a rich man who thinks he can change it's mind.

Wow. Love new posters.
All I'm saying is, if he wants to spend his money trying to control the weather, have at it! Since my belief in Global Warming believes that humans have created a warming of ocean water, then I also believe that we should be able to fix that.
Philodox you are very lucky that I'm in a good mood today.

If you're waiting for the perfect software system to be unveiled it will never happen. As it is, the Windows platform is a good one and it's used by every major company in the world. Your ilk claims to be all about capitalism but constantly villifies the person who is its very personification.

LMFAO! That's rich, Henry;
you dumbing something down for
me. We manipulate nature to serve our needs all of the time.

What exactly do you find wrong with wanting to save hundreds of lives and preventing untold millions in property damage?
Are you as adamantly opposed to strip mining and marsh/swamp draining? Didn't God put that mountain there? Didn't He put that swamp there?
What about seeding clouds to make rain?
The technology is sound and I hope he makes it work.
While I'm good and pissed off, what kind of idiotic title is that for this thread?
The article is about fighting hurricanes.
If you want to control the sea - been done already - in Holland.

Somehow, I don't think you mean Device Firmware Update.

Yeah ... and what's all this crap about appendectomy surgery? If god gave you appendicitis, who are you to thwart his divine will with routine surgery?

LOL! Nope and it doesn't stand for Data File Utility either!

Naw....maybe you oughta go there and stick your pecker in the dike. That is if the hole is small enough.
