The fundamental flaw in this person's opinion is that news is just that...news.  There is no political agenda involved with reporting a shooting or an automobile accident or an earthquake.  The only reason the news appears to the right to be biased is that it exposes them as the lying, thieving hypocrites they are and the unwashed masses who are gullible enough to vote for them and against their own best interests.

A quote from the article, "What Fox did is not just create a venue for alternative opinion. It created an alternate reality."

'Alternate reality' is a euphemism for lie.

Well, miss mud puppy (dragging it through the garden), fox has only succeeded in becoming the nazi news (read; propaganda) station.

oh come on guys, Cnn, Msnbc, nbc, abc and cbs to name a few are so far left they can't stand up straight. They spin the news how ever they think, ignore viable news if they don't want to talk about it. Slander good people and their families. I could go on and on. They SUCK

Your excused Bo: So you are the big mucky muck moderator and will inform people of what they can post or not???? I just need to get it straight. You know not being a legend in my own mind like you guys are, I don't have a clue of what is expected of little old woman like me. Bite me
Now about Fox news. It has been a refreshing news media for me to see that it is not leftest, socialst, communist like Cnn, Msnbc the other biased networks. I enjoy hearing the truth more than I have heard in years, from Cnn, Msnbc, Abc, Nbc and Cbs. That is my opinion.

Charles Krauthammer? What an odd fellow, and totally owned by Faux News.

It's not just Faux, though... The entire news industry has become solely about ratings and profit, and playing to a certain niche.

MSNBC is the polar opposite of Faux, and equally partisan.

In the meantime, it's up to the voter to find the facts for hirself, and most don't bother.

It's all corporate owned news.  We lost the "free press" some time ago.

What is "news" anyway? Have people lost the ability to discern real news from opinion? Or do people really think that Rush and Bill Oh'Really have NEWS shows?

Perhaps "cable news" is an oxymoron.  8)

One that I typically hear in weather forecasts is, "100% chance."

I also heard someone say, "more than likely," the other day when I'm sure that likely or probably was really meant rather than certainly.

Yes, but usually when they are predicting a "100% chance," it is already raining. That always cracks me up.

I think "Microsoft Works" earned its rightful place as number 1 oxymoron.

Actually, McGonser believes in the trinity.

not my choice but it is hers...
Sorry Gonser, I just had to call it as I saw it.

Yes, there are conservative Democrats -- not to be confused with the Dixiecrats. The Southern Baptists tended to be Democrats, until the Reagan years when they flocked to Pat Robertson's wing of the par-tay.

The SB Democrats tended to be extremely socially conservative -- and, at that time, the Republicans tended to be better-educated and more socially liberal.

My how the times have changed. I don't care for either party at this point.

That's the spirit, McGonser. If you hang around long enough, maybe the Republicans will return to their roots.  ;)

Well, it's about time for Bill Maher. I wonder what idiot actors he will have on this evening.
