THIS IS A Thread we woodwardites had on the Martha's forum when several nosey nosensteins told us to moob for not agreeing with them. We used it for daily communication about our lives and a refuge from the blasting of some posters. We had an imaginary banquet hall for eating when we were in big trouble and sometimes we just blogged our lives in it. Whatever, a lot of good people kept in touch this way.. So I have named it...MYOB II.
Oh yes, the latest additon to the MYOB property management was an insane asylum! LOL
Excellent! Can't wait to read this one!
Heres the official placard for the thread. LOL Welcome magee
Do you have pictorial record of our banquet hall? I don't know, I may have to hunt up a new insane asylum.
I guess this one will have to do but it is not as scary as the old one. :icon_twisted:
That's a pretty scary looking asylum to me.
By the way, McGonser, while I was not mmob, I looked up the court records on the Morton hearing today. His motion to withdraw his pleas was denied, so he has filed and oral notice of appeal.
He currently owes like 6,000 in court costs. I wonder how many appeals he will be getting.
hows this magee for spooky! Interesting about Morton, I guess we will wait and see. No I do not have any of the pictures posted that were not in my photobucket account. I never dreamed we needed to back them up.
I guess we will have to build a new banquet hall!
I was very busy MMOB today... with my debit card!
Does anyone else go nuts for metal art like me?
some I like, some I don't..I will have to check out your store next time I am in woodward. I like this smiley or not smiling smiley a whole lot
Hi FT! Nope my nuttiness is wasted on flowers
And your cats, and your grandkids, and your dying coffee plants...
ROFL....yeah that too Magee. Least you got them prioritized correctly ;)
Here's a banquet hall complete with food.
That looks better than our old one! I am glad we moved. :smitten:
Well I don't know any of you, but I'm glad you moved too. The more the merrier! ;D
Seen: perfect banquet hall for this time of year. Yea!!!! Love your avatar too. Isn't that how we all are.
Guess what! Ginger never mhob!
She could not be a respectable cat and MHOB too. Impossible. LOL :hamster:
WEll, off to work two hours early, will be coming home for a long nap in a while. Maybe I will be harvesting my facebook coffee today, too, if the website is working again. It seems that the game IS back online but alas my coffee plants aren't mature yet. I do have a bunch of wheat to harvest though!
Welcome Woodwardities!
Thanks Sandy and Locutus! I think we will like it here.
I am working in the yard on this gorgeous morning. Suppose to get to 95 today. Whew!!!!
I am eating bacon while Mageepet cooks it, and while also wondering if ShopGirl lurks here, too, and reports back to the OverLord. ;D
Tomorrow I will be cooking enough bacon for everyone!
I don't know those people you are talking about but haven't seen the Hooch Lady which is good.
Amen to that! *hiccup*
Well, off to bed now. Got to cook the bacon in the a.m., up at 4:30 a.m. and cooking by 5:30 a.m. Pass me a large bunch of biscuits and a potful of gravy while you are at it.
Hope we only have the stalker dishwasher tomorrow instead of the psycho-felon ones.
Good night.
I thought you did that today. Hubby took a couple of days off, and I've thought it was Saturday all day... Dang, I have to do Saturday all over again tomorrow.
Today is the town wide garage sale. I think I'm going to slip off down the street and stick my nose in the one at Muggy P's house. I think I will also give her this website url. :)
That will be after my coffee and when I get dressed...lol
I was truly trying to mmob today but the bacon was horribly not behaving and cooking awful. I finally cursed a lot at it, but it still cooked badly. I did feel better after the cursing though. On my nicer side, i took lunch to a friend who is having a rough pregnancy and on bedrest.
was it a bacon sandwich magee????????
It was french toast and scrambled eggs! I wouldn't take that scroungy bacon anywhere! It was a busy bacon day. We used a whole fifteen pound box of it!
got the yardwork done, found one of my hoses and my sprinkler had bit the dust. came backin and showered, laid around a bit and then started to work the yahoo crossword puzzle,, and while MMOB the JW came and knocked on my door and tried to give me propaganda materials. I noticed my fine neighbor, mr. dodo was sweeping is porch and laughing, so I guess they had got him, too. I sent them on their way to pass at our their garbage to people who " would enjoy it more than I." I think I am going to hang a dark towel over my door so no one can see me in the living room, ladies with big purses, cops, neighbors, or whoever!
Heads up guys, we are under a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight. Possible hail and high wind. Keep an eye out. You know the drill.
:thinking2:
I am thinking we are in the same thunderstorm watch. It is a very big box. All the storms have split and gone around us for two days now. I finally retaliated by running the sprinkler today. Guess what? It is raining now! Lightning and loud thunder but only light rain. Will have to wait and see if it lasts long enough to actually get the ground wet.
Oh yes, the prince got paid today and finished paying for his car. He drove it home but I won't let him move it anymore until we get a tag on it and insurance in the a.m. He can hardly mhob with the excitement of having that car in the drive. By the way, he got his manual out and popped the hood and learned where all his fluids are. He said he will be taking it to QuickLube for servicing asap. Perhaps, he has learned something from killing his other car!
It finally did start pouring after ten thirty or so, and rained and inch before midnight, so we are all nice and wet again here.
Well, getting ready to go to Elk City. My sis is taking radiation treatments 5 days a week and I keep her company. I will try to MMOB until I get back home. Cross your fingers.
I'll keep your sis in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck!
Somebody better get the banquet hall ready. :o
Well, I guess I will start cooking then, as McGonser has ran away to be with her sis for the day!
Its too hot to cook magee: I am doing watermelon, cantelope and a veggie tray. We sure could use some cinnamon rolls. Hint, hint.
Okay I will start them raising before I go back to work, we could use some cold meats and cheeses, too. The temp. here is absolutely perfect after the big rain last night!
Hey, I can bring the Margaritas ;)
Ole!
Well its off to Elk City for the treatment and then back home. Its about a 3 hour round trip. Sometimes we stop at Long John Silvers or the bakery. Yum Yum!
Free: I am unofficially electing you the president of the MYOB room. Way to go girl.
I'm off to Wootown in a bit. I guess Mageepet will have to serve in my absence. LOL.
Y'all have a good'un!
I am off to work here pretty soon. That only leaves Seen2, to got in trouble while we are gone! If she does she can eat the leftovers until we get home! They are in the large fridge right off the banquet hall! I had some pasta salad leftovers that are doing me fine for breakfast and lunch!
Witchy poo is off to some meetings this week so the flying monkeys are well behaved this week.
Hey, I can handle that! Yall will have to take over tomorrow and Thurs tho. I'm going to TX
I hope the wind dies down before you head to the big T. :)
If not she won't need much fuel to get there! Or maybe Kansas will have blown to Texas by then.
I never realized wind had such an odd effect on cruise control. I finally had to turn it off when I spied a hypo, as my car was verifying from 5 miles under to 5 miles over with just a hint of an incline or decline.... And besides, it was making me a little nauseous for the car to keep speeding up and slowing down.
Hopefully there's nothing wrong. :-\
NO, I don't think there is. Occasionally, I will be driving on cruise,(MMOB) and come over a hill and hit a big gust of wind. The cruise evidently interprets that as braking and goes clear off. It usually resets right away. Caution! If your cruise control refuses to set, on my car, it always means the alternator is having trouble and cuts off power to extra systems to preserve battery and fuel pump power.
Some cars have a feature that turns off the cruise control if you turn your windshield wipers on high speed. They say that cruise control can contribute to hydroplaning.
Learn something new every day... I could not figure out why my cruise control was acting so funky... like it was possessed or something.
The officer was trying to pass me, and I'll bet he thought I was speeding up on purpose, but didn't even have my foot on the accelator. The cruise was just going nuts, so I turned it off before I got my heinie pulled over.
Between WooTown and Beaver, it is vast open pastures, and very hilly, and exceedingly windy at times. Fortunately things are green enough that I wasn't getting slammed by truck-sized tumble weeds.
It could be I might need some time in the time out room, as a lot of people seem to be pissing me off!
Also, all that talk about dill weed has made hungry for seasoned oyster crackers.
Maybe we won't get told to MOOB so much at this board. :)
At work today, we were only witch infested for a short time, but alas, I think witching is going to be a full time thing again starting tomorrow. It was a nice ride while she was gone. Elevator men have been driving us crazy, and today we had those guys testing the alarm system at the courthouse all day. Tomorrow they will be ringing the alarms at the bank building. I am going to have to rethink my work schedule tomorrow, for the least amount of aggravation.
Why does it take all day to test an alarm system?
My friend who does office cleaning in the evenings, has had problems with the police surrounding her because the bank alarm has been out of order. Even though the police know that the alarm system has to be repaired, they still go through all the procedures of making her exit the building and stand before them, with their hands on their guns, until the all clear comes from management.
She should charge extra for that kind of cleaning duty.
EACH ALARM HEAD HAS TO BE TESTED SEPERATELY, good God, I didn't mean to do all capitals. Many of them are above ceiling tiles which have to be moved over. Then someone is standing at the panel, and has to radio them back where it went off onthe panel, so they can check it with the actual location. Many of the stupid heads, and four floors to test.
We usually call the alarm company and put the system on test to keep the fire department from roaring up.
Good morning everyone. I didn't get to sleep until like 2 a.m. and now I am draggign once, I determined I might sleep late and and go into work late, then the dogs, miserable dogs, started barking. I am up now, getting ready to walk the dogs, miserable dogs, shower, dress and go to work. whoohaa..
I hope somebody fixed a great big meal for FT and I as we were not able to moob at all yesterday!
Yes, little dogs can be very demanding and are very set in their routines. They surely do not like it if we go off-schedule. LOL. :)
I was talking with Wilma about the dog yesterday, and I called them "food whores." as they always pretend to like you to get food. Ginger is always honest about her feelings. She meows at her food dish with a voice that say,"Feed me now, human." and if I walk away she will scratch me. NO fake love lost in that relationship. LOL
Ok, I get to sit at the head of the table today. I seem to be a little gnarly today. Tired of the B.S
I thought maybe brisket, potato salad and corn on the cob sounded good.
Sounds wonderful to me, as long as I don't have to cook it. Perhaps, my blood pressure won't be out of sight tonite, and I can get some sleep. Let's have a big bowl of ice cream for desert!
sounds good to me! I will chill awhile so my BP won't go up. Don't need that. Pass the brisket it is being catered by Waggs Bar B Q

What was it that Julia Child said? ...."Life is uncertain. Eat desert first!"
Lol Bo, that has always been my philosophy. I eat desert first when I can.

No that was my older son after not getting any chocolate at the church dinner because I made him eat the other stuff first. After those hoggish old ladies took and ate up all the cake from the poor boy, I let him eat cake first round ever after!

Once when the prince had went to Oklahoma City to visit his sister for a week,I declared it ice cream for supper week. All suppers were desserts! Peanut buster parfaits, strawberry shortcake sundaes, blizzards, ...one of the best times of my life.
Y'all are making me hungry for Chili's Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie. :smitten:
WE could all go to Chili's and say it is our birthday and get free ones!
I have tried to mmob today but was suddenly called away from work to help out a family in Wichita whose daughter was very ill and had to have her very premature baby taken c-section. As far as I know, both mother and child are doing as well as can be expected. I was there from 5-10 p.m this evening and it is so wearing to see a family in such pain.
I sure hope Mother and baby will be ok. It's so sad to hear of situations like that.
Mother is better today, baby Jaylee breathing only with minor assist from respirator, so all is going well at the moment. Mom hasn't been able to see baby yet, but I believe her nurse is going to take her to that ward to see her soon.
I think I was just told in a round about, snobby, smug way by an IRS CSR to MMOB about our refund check.
Long story short (if that's possible with me..lol): Note: I might type in abbreviations, so ask if you can't figure a word out.
Hubby gave tax people wrong bank acct # for direct deposit of refund check. I called bank back in March. They sent chk back to irs. Contctd irs & tracer papers were sent to me. I filled them out & faxed them back. Talked to bank again and they snt tracer form back that irs sent them indicating the chk wasn't cashed it was retrnd to irs.
May...called irs after rcvng lettr saying need info from bank showing what they did with the chk. I tld them in THEIR letter to me they snt a copy of the form that bank snt them and it clearly stated by the bank Sr VP the chk was rtrnd to irs. I was then tld the chk wld be snt & we shld rcve it by 6/22/09. Rcvd anthr letter today same as last one. Called irs. CSR was kinda snooty and said the letter was just letting me know we were going to rcve our chk soon. I ask her if she was reading the same letter I rcvd, cause it didn't say nothng like that. It was still saying the same thing as last letter about needng info from bank on what they did with the chk, but there was a copy of the form from the bank in with this letter shwing what that the bank sent the chk back.
I ask her where it said that we were for sure going to get our check by the 22nd. She said it will all go in the sys this weekend and if it's procssed on 19th we will get it on the 22nd. If it's processed on 22nd we will get it on the 26th and then she ask if I had anymore questions.
I told her no and hung up before I told her how the cow eats the cabbage about her attitude which would probably delay getting my chk even longer.
IRS...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Hubby was already spoken to a few months back when the error was discovered. I would have just chalked it up to an honest mistake about the acct # except that I had told him prior to giving all the info to the tax people that the acct # was wrong. Had I known he wasn't going to change the #, I would have done it.
What a mess. Did you send hubby to his room with no supper? :)
Dealing with the IRS is no fun, even on a good day.
IRS---Idiotic reamer section
Damn the irs, and what would men do without women to clean up their messes? :o They would do without evidently!
This is a good lesson for Seen2much, though... Never assume a man will correct any of his mistakes. Best just to take care of it yourself!
Guess what day it is! Right, it is cook the bacon day! There will be a large supply of biscuits and sausage gravy for fans of that delight, also.
See y'all later.
That is some beautiful bacon there, McGonser and the bacon cooked up wonderfully this week. The name of the game was to go today, and omelets were the stars. Glad it is over!
I put together a green chili and cheese quiche before I went to bed last night. It is now in the oven and will supply me with much wonderful eating! The prince of course will want french toast! Oh well, nothing much easier in the world than a couple of pieces of french toast.
Magee, you're always cookin up something that sounds good. I could almost smell the bacon in Gonser's pic...lol I love bacon!
I sure hope you stay outta trouble today, but I know there would be no fun in that. So carry on....
FT, how bad was the storm over your way last night? It had calmed down by the time it made it here, but we did get a good show and some rain.
Just strong whirling winds, rain and some hail. The hail at our house was not too big; they were reporting in some places it was golfball and baseball size.
We did need the rain.
Well, get the room ready, but inside please with the weather tonight. I am feeling really testy and can't seem to keep my mouth shut. LOL
I have some leftover quiche and a bit of corn on the cob we can throw in the microwave n case you run low on energy!
Thanks Magee, Sounds good. yum yum
i bought this corn last week and found it in the fridge this a.m.when re-arranging. It is the first corn we have bought this summer and was soooooo sweet.

Is that genetically-altered corn? The rows aren't straight. ;D
LOL that is what real corn looks like! Hard to tell if you leave it in the microwave all the time though!
Magee, I would say that me & the Mr have gone thru countless numbers of fresh corn this year. It's a staple on our grill. Your corn looks yummy even tho it does look a little corny :groan:
Is everyone ready to rumble with the storms again this evening? We've got some nasty stuff rolling in here... Be nice if it would rain.
I think we are getting ready to get clobbered, too. Temperature is falling outside and the wind has died completely. Sky doesn't look good. I think the humidity is about a zillion percent. Sirens blew five miles north of here last night.
Everyone hang on!
McGonser, I think due to recent developments in other areas you inhabit you will be eating with us again, a little more. LOL
large tornado on ground near belpre ks. that is just west of macksville and nothr of north of greensburg. tornado is moving east. going to be a rough evenng I believe.
tornado at elizabeth town?, near Denver. No reported injuries. It looks spooky outside doesn't it?
Fell off their brooms didn't they and burned at the stake by a horde of angry citizens!
Dogs are really upset tonite, barking at every rumble of thunder. They are not usually such big babies.
The first batch of ugliness went around us... sun came back out... Hopefully the next batch will go around us as well. I hate this time of year.
The husband made me go down in the cellar last night, and try to get over my claustrophia in case we end up having to stay down there for a while.
I really don't mind cellars so much... It's just those little narrow excuses for steps they install in them... Think I'd be better off if we'd just put a slide to sit down on and whoosh down there. We for sure need a slide to get the dogs down there. They are goosier than me about those steep, narrow steps.
Got a card table and chairs down there with dominoes, too...
Okay, we are pretty much past the worst of it now. Still raining, but lightly. We had 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes, 80-90 mph winds, straightline. Hutchinson evidently got whacked pretty good, 4 semi's overturned, 500 people without power, numerous trees down, emergency mgmt askign people to stay in houses there.
I was out a bit ago and didn't see any tree damage close but it is getting dark.
Sirens are wailing on emergency vehicles apparently going north, don't know if it is north part of town or north of town.
City public works is just down the block form here, and guys are showing up there. I don't know if they are addressing power problems or putting out flooding signs in town and blocking off flooded streets.
WE are okay though, a little soggy but fine.
http://www.kansas.com/topstories/story/854352.html
We didn't get nothing but a sprinkle.... We did see the 2nd bunch of clouds from a distance. They were really boiling and piling high.
WW might suck but so do they! We had more rain after midnite bringing the storm total to like 3.5 inches. We had a lot of rain after midnite. Sis's surgery is done and she is doing well. No cancer found in the biopsy, so they moved on and did surgery as planned.
Baby Jailie is still hanging in there and her momma is being released from the hospital today. She will be spending the night here with her mom and then going back to Wichita to be closer to the baby.
I was looking over at the myobIII and it seems Irene has trashed that post, too.
I'm glad to hear Mom & baby Jailie are doing good.
I agree that those people on HM Enid are not very friendly. Some are, but most aren't. I guess it will be like that on any forum we get on. We're the new people and the regulars sometimes feel like it's an
invasion of their space. Once you get established then it usually lines out.
I am staying with this forum. I have about 3 others that pertain to my interests that I've been a member of for a while, so I have enough places to occupy my time and of course there's FB and Pogo.
I hope that the people here will see that we mean no ill will toward them and will eventually accept us.
yes, and you notice one of the witches befouled myobIII, and didn't think that she was being told to leave along with you!
Look what one of the former residents of myob gave to us today, while she was in myobIII...It is our former banquet hall back! So we have the nice outdoor one Seen2 gave us, and now this one back , where I have eaten many a meal in disgrace LOL
(http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh287/mageepet/Banquettable2.jpg)
that is my favorite banquet room. Bring on the food
I;m so sorry that my banquet hall has gone away!
