More Americans "Pro-Life" Than "Pro-Choice" for First Time (http://www.gallup.com/poll/118399/More-Americans-Pro-Life-Than-Pro-Choice-First-Time.aspx)
A new Gallup Poll, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves "pro-life" on the issue of abortion and 42% "pro-choice." This is the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.
Henry, I read recently that abortion rates have shown steady declines since the early 90s. With morning-after pills, etc. do you think this will eventually become a non-issue?

That is a good question.....I think it will ALWAYS be an issue, as long as abortions are happening, imo......but wouldn't it be great if this issue would go away.
Gryphon: Don't you think that people who are anti-abortion, due to believing that life begins at conception, also consider the morning after pill as a form of abortion?
I really don't know much about that pill....but does it not STOP conception?....I know that there ways for rape victims to stop conception, if it is done with a certain time frame...
I know there are groups out there who are against any form of birth control....

Im not sure...as I understand it, it prevents a conception from even happening. (Am I right that there are two different ones?)

If people like you would stop trying to control a woman's decisions about her own body based on your religious beliefs, it would go away now.

I'm not getting into this with you again but no, it's not and you are forcing your religious crap down everyone else's throats. Your god is a dick.
The morning after pill, is supposed to dissolve the egg. Conception is when the sperm has fertilized the egg. So if the egg is fertilized...then conception has occurred.....therefore, dissolving the egg would be aborting it. And you can't know if you are dissolving an unfertilized egg, or one that is....unless you wait long enough to see that you are pregnant.
This is what my sister claims her doctor told her.
My sister had a doctor that suggested she take the morning after pill to abort her already confirmed pregnancy.

You're the one who's delusional in this area and the Supreme Court agrees with me!

How does the Supreme Court disagree with me?...I have never said that we ARE a Christian Nation....all I have EVER claimed is that our Nation was founded by Godly men....many that
were Christians...there is NO delusion what-so-ever on this...I have supplied plenty of evidence to support this.

On the issue of abortion, the Supreme Court held that the notion of a fetus being a human being at the moment of conception was a religious one and therefore not applicable to law.

Prove it.
