Does anyone else miss the April's Fools stories they used to print in the pharos tribune?

My hometown paper used to do that too.  Maybe there were too many stupid people who believed them and reacted poorly to them.   :rolleyes:  Idiots!

I agree Prolo...........our team sure could use a new pitcher.....they use to put a lot of effort into that story..........just another example of how "NOT LOCAL" the paper and Radio stations have become. My favorite was the Big Rock Concert we were gonna have.  People wrote in and phoned the police.  I guess No sense of Humor comes with TOO MUCH religion.

Those April Fool's jokes were a lot of fun. I can remember reading them and then talking to people who really believed them. Never forget the look on some of their faces when they found out they'd been fooled. Never anything malicious, usually just innocent fun. Too bad the present administration of the newspaper is as Rex has said. In this time in our city, we need something to laugh about.

fyears ago, for one of their pranks, the paper talked about plans for a new ball field. the location would have been on my husband's (who was not my husband at that time) property. he thought that was hilarious and of course he knew it was a joke.
