...has passed away.
My great uncle Claude passed away last night at 9:30 pm. I am not sure of his age, but he was my grandmother's youngest brother. She would have been 89 this year, so I would assume he was in his early 80s.
I am saddened. I hadn't seen Claude in many years. After my grandparents both passed away, our family seemed to segregate into smaller microcosms of families. I had seen him a few times over the years, but I am regretful that I hadn't spent more time with him in recent years.
I will always remember his jolly face and pink cheeks, incredibly white hair, and soft skin, just like my grandmother's. I hope that I am like the Poland family when I am older, with their whiter than snow hair and velvety, satiny skin.
RIP Claude Poland...You will be missed.
Sorry to hear about your loss Daisy. :(
The same thing has happened to our family since all of the grandparents are dead. We also seem to have separated into smaller groups.
Exactly. Its sad that it becomes that way, but I suppose its only natural.
Figures...the funeral is on Saturday. I don't get to skip work for it. Dang it. LOL
What sucks even more is that once again I will be attending a family function with my children and my parents. The one thing that sucks about being married to a driver is that they never get to accompany you anywhere. I want him at the funeral with me, but I understand that he has got to make money for us, if we want to keep this house.
You'll be in my thoughts on Saturday.
Thank you, Loc
So sorry Daisy :(
