Which interpretation of the bible do you think?
God does for us only that which we can not do for ourselves.....Free Will.
Neither. It is a book containing the words of "God" according to humankind. Written, edited, assembled, and utilized throughout history by humankind as a tool with which to obtain wealth and power via leadership through attrition of the masses. Always has been, and thanks to centuries of preconditioning of the masses, always will be.
I agree with PH, neither.
Although in many discussions with religious people re: this topic they've gotten kinda wishy washy by saying that everyone has free will, but God knows the outcome....uh then the will isn't very "free" is it now?

The two are mutually exclusive and the fact that believe or die (spiritually, excommunicated from god, thrown into a lake of fire, or any other interpretation of "not living forever" is), there is no free will. A choice of "do as I say" or die leaves no free choice. The predestination is ultimately "do as I say" or die, as well. So, no matter what is determined to be "god's plan" it is pretty moot for an outcome other than that one.
All rubbish, of course, and quite illogical, but the mythology endures (especially since its followers won't even ask the basic questions).
