absolutely wonderful to see you back! :smitten:

i would be teaching, but the lessons are painful, and therefore worthless to those who seem to need them most.

I don't think there is anyone patient enough to teach me the art of debate. LOL

Actually I could use some guidance. Recently I attempted to get to know someone and well,it's a long story so perhaps you could teach me a thing or two about "pickin' some brains."

pickin' brains is all about observation, and throwing away preconceptions.

it's being thrown around the forums alot lately that "words mean things".  well, yes, but moreso to the speaker than the listener.  finding out what words are significant to them and why is the interesting part for me.

without more information all i can give are these vague bits.

If I give more info then a forum war will bust out-no thanks. I'll just go with what you've said so far. it's pretty good. Thanks.

Uhm... AW....don't you have PM privileges here?  You and awol could discuss this in private and then no forum war would break out.  Just a suggestion. :)

I dunno AWOL. I think I need you to give me lessons so that my little brain can understand.
I thought a debate was just when 2 people talked, but it didn't turn into anyone being called names or having the debate turned into a mudslinging contest.
I try to stay out of debates because it seems that whatever I say, it comes out wrong. I need to see facial expressions and other gestures  (mine and the others) in order to give or receive the true meaning of what they are trying to say.
Sometimes typing can be like talking to some one who has a very flat affect.
